Stamford, CT-based Dan-Bunkering (America)  announced the relocation of two Bunker Traders, the employment of a Senior Purchaser, and a new office address.

Kasper Christiansen, Danish national, has relocated to Dan-Bunkering in Stamford as of 1 May 2019. Prior to the relocation, Kasper was working as a Senior Bunker Trader in the head office in Middelfart, Denmark; an office which he joined in 2010. He has, however, in the meantime been stationed abroad for a period of two years in Asia, thus he is thoroughly versed in various markets and holds nine years of valuable experience within the industry.

Janek Ekeli, originally from Norway, also relocated to Dan-Bunkering’s Stamford office as of 1 May 2019 from another company in the group, i.e. the Middle Eastern office in Dubai. Janek joined Dan-Bunkering in 2017 and brought along a valuable shipping background from a large shipping company in Norway.

Matthew Sharkey joined Dan-Bunkering’s Stamford office as a Senior Purchaser on 1 April 2019. Matthew is American and adds a wealth of industry experience from his employment in two large trading companies prior to joining the Dan-Bunkering Group.

Commercial Director, Michel Thomsen, adds: “I am thrilled to be able to welcome a strong and experienced resource like Matthew to our group, but I am equally as thrilled to experience such a well-functioning global mobility program enabling us to transfer our people between our offices and thereby accommodate our employees’ sense for adventure and development potential.”

As mentioned earlier, not only the team has expanded, the actual size of the physical office has also been more than doubled. The company recently moved to new and bigger premises to be able to accommodate further staff members and be closer to the local shipping community in Stamford. The move took effect on 1 May 2019.
