WISTA India's Workshop on Managing Customers
WISTA India proved that they are committed to enhancing skiil of all women in the Maritime Industry . On 17th April they organised a workshop on "Manage your customers" at India's premier Business school SP Jain Institute of Management and Research.
Prof Murti at his very best while delivering a talk on "How to retain important Customers" for WISTA (Women's International Shipping & Trading Association)
“ Managing Difficult Customers “ was such an eye opener on how we, while selling , focus only on pushing down prices , not realizing that in doing so, we are not adding any value to the client or to our business in the long run. Knowing the customer, going deep into his needs, “LISTENING” , understanding his product + supply chain , and THEN giving a customized solution is what we need to do. And Prof Murty illustrated this so beautifully and effortlessly.
The event was arranged at the request of WISTA India President Sanjam Sahi Gupta , is an alumni of Sp Jain Institute of Management and Research. She along with Sister Sumeet Sahi had won the prestigious award fm SP Jain-for successful Women in Family Managed Business in 2013.
For this event WISTA India Jt.Secretary Sumeet Sahi Invited ladies fm other associations such as MANSA, AMTOI, FFFAI and other companies to benefit by this talk. The talk was attended by 41 ladies from the maritime industry including Ms.Tarini Desai from Sylvester and Co, Ms.Hansa from All Cargo ,Ms.Geeta Sheth from DP World Mundra , .
The Institute in Sanjam's praise said that they support her endevours and will always be there to support her.
