A Mediterranean view; French maritime transport & door logistics
This important market, is located in an extremely attractive region for fresh and frozen cargo logistics, being France a very strong producing and importing country. Therefore, LCL together with Crosslinks have decided to team up and start operations generating synergies and consolidating their solid know-how. Together with LCL Mediterranean Ltd, LCL’s subsidiary for regional development within the area, the appointment of Crosslinks Marseilles will lead LCL to develop intermodal inbound and outbound traffics, taking advantage of the significance of the Southern French ports and their maritime links within the Mediterranean basin.
Marseilles, Port Vendres, Sete, etc. are ports located closely and well connected to the French production and consumption areas. Distribution of fresh produce through these ports will be an opportunity for LCL’s expanding network. Said distribution will be based on alliances with first class trucking companies, offering a reliable and workable through carriage, based on multimodal transport solutions.
LCL activities in southern France will be headed by Mrs. Mary Ubierna, who will provide her experience and knowledge together with her Crosslinks team.
