EB Wins Pair of Contracts

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $40,583,735 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-00-C-2112) for development studies and design efforts related to Virginia class submarines. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., (94 percent); Quonset, R.I. (5 percent); and Newport, R.I. (1 percent), and is expected to be completed by January 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $16,919,635 fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity order under previously awarded contract (N00024-04-D-4408) for planning and preparation of the FY05 Drydocking Selected Restricted Availability (DSRA) of USS Connecticut (SSN 22). The contractor will perform advance planning, design documentation, engineering, procurement, ship-checks, fabrication and preliminary shipyard work and/or any other work necessary to prepare and make ready for the accomplishment of alterations, and repairs, maintenance, testing and routine work. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by December 2005. Contract funds in the amount of $16,720,368 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
