$47M Navy Contract Awarded

Life Cycle Engineering, Inc., North Charleston, S.C., is being awarded a $47,156,944 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for engineering, technical, logistic and installation support services to support all Navy submarine and surface ship hull, mechanical and electrical systems. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif. (45 percent); Norfolk, Va. (30 percent); Mayport, Fla. (5 percent); Pascagoula, Miss. (5 percent); Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (3 percent); Kings Bay, Ga. (2 percent); Bath, Maine (2 percent); Ingelside, Texas (2 percent); Bangor, Wash. (2 percent); Bremerton, Wash. (2 percent); and Everett, Wash. (2 percent), and is expected to be completed by April 2010. Contract funds in the amount of $200,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via publication in the Federal Business Opportunities website, with three offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N65540-05-D-0008).
