Container Ship Stranded on Uncharted Wreck off Vietnam

Singaporean container ship 'Akari' hits uncharted wreck off Vietnam coast.

The  Akari was reported to have grounded on an uncharted sunken vessel some four nautical miles (nearly 7.5 kilometres) from the island of Hon Dau. 

Hai Phong Port Authority stated the ship was on passage from Taiwan bound for Hai Phong when the accident occured about 4 miles from the island of Hon Dau. No injury to crew or cargo was reported and efforts were being made to tow the vessel in to Hai Phong harbour.
