Latin American market for Offshore Patrol Vessels, surface weaponry to be explored at Rio conference
The forum during the three-day conference will be the first ever undertaken collaboratively with the Navy of Brazil to explore patrol vessels and combat surface ships throughout Latin America. In this communication platform for decision makers naval and maritime security, purchasing authorities and key industry leaders, participants will learn about opportunities in the Latin American market, the latest feedback from missions, latest projects, use of adoption of new materials and technologies.
With the rapid increase in defense budgets in Latin America and the reopening of the shipbuilding market in Brazil, partly due to the large ship renewal program, the region is fast becoming a focus for international companies. The event is to present the international industry to regional leaders to improve the understanding of the defense market within Latin America and presents a special workshop onengaging the Navy of Brazil, led by representatives of the Navy of Brazil, ABIMDE.
