KVH Industries, Inc., announced today that Chris Holm has joined the company to drive strategic leadership in key human resources initiatives supporting KVH’s growth. He assumes the title of vice president of human resources, a newly created role within the company. From its headquarters in Middletown, Rhode Island, KVH has a global presence that includes offices around the world. In the past two years, the company’s annual revenue increased 45 percent, and the number of employees grew from fewer than 400 to more than 500.

“We are delighted that Chris has joined KVH, bringing his strong focus on the technology and manufacturing sectors in both public and private companies,” says Peter Rendall, KVH’s chief financial officer. “Chris will guide KVH to continue to attract, motivate, and retain high-performance employees, and his global experience will be invaluable.”

Mr. Holm, a Connecticut native, has extensive experience directing human resources efforts across the U.S., Europe, China, Malaysia, and India. During his 20-year career, he has lived in China, consulted for a Paris-based company, and held top human resources positions with companies in Connecticut and New York. He is based in KVH’s headquarters.

“I look forward to building on the great work that KVH has already done,” says Mr. Holm. “KVH has an exciting growth story, a strong presence around the world, and an innovative spirit that defines the company, from engineering and manufacturing, to sales, marketing, and all aspects of the enterprise.”

Mr. Holm holds a bachelor’s of science degree in engineering from Syracuse University, and has completed post-graduate work in engineering administration and organizational development.
