Keeping warfighters connected at all times is essential to mission success and is the driving force behind the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) and Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic). Alion Science and Technology, a global engineering, technology and operational solutions company, supporting SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic in several high-priority projects, has opened a new Charleston, S.C. office to improve access to Alion resources.

An official ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Monday, November 18, 2013 to unveil the facility located at 2442 Remount Road, Suite 200 in North Charleston. Chairman and CEO Dr. Bahman Atefi, Rod Riddick, Manager of the Engineering and Integration Solutions Sector, and Greg Bryant, Manager of the Integration Solutions Group, were in attendance along with local government customers.

At this new facility, Alion will provide technical, configuration management, information assurance, cyber security, IT and C5ISR support services for a variety of high-priority Navy, Marine Corps and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) programs.

“We’re quickly expanding our role with SPAWAR and our presence in Charleston. We believe our skill sets and ability to respond to emergent requirements match up nicely with SPAWAR’s needs so we are optimistic about our growth potential,” said Greg Bryant, Senior Vice President and Manager of Alion’s Integration Solutions Group. “Opening this office was a logical next step that reflects our commitment to both SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic’s objectives and the Charleston community.”
