Maersk Cuts Landing Certificate Issuance Time

* Maersk Line will introduce a simplified process for obtaining the Landing Certificates from May 1st , 2016
  * Maersk line waives off the  Landing Certificate fee of INR 1000

Mumbai, 25th April, 2016: Maersk Line India has taken a major leap towards simplifying the Landing Certificate process by drastically reducing the time of issuance to just 12 hours. The process requires the customers to request for the certificate and they will receive it via email. This simplified process of issuing the Landing Certificate will be effective from 1st May, 2016 and will provide a hassle free transaction experience for the customers.

 Key highlights of the new process, which is effective May 1st, 2016 are:

 (I) Landing Certificate within half a day: A customer after requesting for a Landing Certificate will receive it via email within 12 hours after the submission of the application.

(II) Fee waiver: To make it quick and simple for customers, Maersk Line has also removed the Landing Certificate charge of INR 1000 per certificate.

 Commenting on this development, Mr. Franck Dedenis, Managing Director, Maersk (India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh) said, “We are committed towards ease of doing business and customer satisfaction. Simplification of the Landing Certificate process is another step toward a cost-effective method of maintaining the supply chain.  We are hopeful that through this innovative and simplified electronic system we will make our customer’s business more competitive.’
