Carnival Cruise Lines chose the name Carnival Liberty for its new 110,000-ton SuperLiner scheduled to enter service in fall
2005.
The fourth in the line's 110,000-ton Conquest-class series, the massive
2,974-passenger 'Fun Ship' will be constructed by Italian shipyard
Fincantieri Cantieri Navali Italiani S.p.A.. Carnival Liberty's homeport and
itinerary have yet to be announced.
The 952-ft. Carnival Liberty will be among the largest passenger vessels
at sea, and will feature four restaurants, including two twin-level formal dining rooms, an expansive two-deck-high casual
poolside eatery, and an upscale "steakhouse-style" supper club.
