Plans to extend facilities at Tunis' La Goulette port for cruise ships were November 6th. Sakhr El Matri, president of Goulette Shipping, saidd that a new 640-metre long dock and a tourist village will be built for 19m euros.
The port's capacity will be increased 70 % by 2010 for 2 million cruise passengers a year, as compared to current capacity of 500,000 visitors. La Goulette would like Italian company MSC Crociere and US Royal Caribbean to join the project. (Source: ANSA)
