Funds Available for Wharf Repair

The W. F. Magann Corp., Portsmouth, Va., was awarded a $12,760,000 firm fixed price contract on Jun 30, 2008, for repairs to Berth 20 wharf structure at Norfolk Naval Shipyard to safely support anticipated loads due to waterfront activities. Work will be performed in Portsmouth, Va., and is expected to be completed by Jun. 2010. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website with three proposals received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N40085-08-C-9683).
