Iveco Motors of North America, Inc., a Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT) company, proudly announces an agreement to supply their NEF 400, Cursor 550 and Cursor 770 diesel marine engines to Henriques Yachts, a full line of commercial, sport and recreational fishing boats.
Through an agreement with Iveco Motors’ distributor, Mid-Atlantic Engine Supply Corporation (MAESCO), the company will distribute the three specific engines to Henriques Yachts for their full line of fishing boats, between 30-feet and 42-feet.
The N60 ENT M40 (NEF 400) is the newest engine in IVECO MOTORS’ NEF family of marine engines. The NEF 400 is a 6-cylinder, 4-valves-per-cylinder in-line diesel engine equipped with a common rail fuel injection system. With 394 hp, and weighing just 1,312 lbs, this engine provides boat builders, dealers and buyers the greatest power to weight ratio of 0.30 hp/lb. IVECO MOTORS’ modern design tools and manufacturing technology result in the excellent performance of the NEF 400. An electronic control module monitors the engine’s performance and also protects it from misuse. Advanced integrated electronics provide the captain with the most accurate information.
The C78 ENT M55 (Cursor 550) is an in-line 6-cylinder, 4-valves-per-cylinder, 7.8-liter engine, producing 543hp at 2600rpm. The C13 ENT M77 (Cursor 770) is an in-line 6-cylinder, 4-valves-per-cylinder, 12.9-liter engine with unit-injector fuel injection, developing up to 760 hp (567kW) at 2300 rpm for commercial applications. The engines boast twin, separate flow turbochargers with after-cooler, and can be used in a variety of different recreational and commercial boating applications. The engines also incorporate a bedplate design, whereby the main bearings are tied together through one casting. When this one-piece structure is bolted onto the engine block, its design serves to strengthen the structure of the engine as a whole, contributing to the Cursor’s excellent torque and durability.
