ARC Adds New Ship
American Roll-on Roll-off Carrier (ARC) announced that its M/V ARC Integrity loaded equipment from the Army’s 1st Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) at the port of Rotterdam.
The ARC Integrity is ARC’s latest addition to the U.S.-flag fleet, having re-flagged to U.S. registry in Bremerhaven, Germany in October 2019. ARC Integrity moved a mix of helicopters, vehicles, containers, and other ground support equipment for 1st CAB, the “Demon” Brigade, which now returns home to Fort Riley, Kansas after a ninth month rotation in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve.
The 3rd CAB “Marne Air” out of Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia replaces the 1st CAB in Europe. This will be the 5th iteration of the Rotational Air Forces mission in support of the NATO-sponsored Operation Atlantic Resolve which has been ongoing in Europe since 2014.
ARC Vice President Sales & Marketing Chris Heibel noted, “It has been a great team effort by all parties supporting this massive move of equipment and materiel for Operation Atlantic Resolve, and we thank our colleagues at the 598th Transportation Brigade and the 838th Transportation Battalion for their exceptional support during this operation.”
ARC is the largest U.S.-flag roll-on roll-off (Ro-Ro) carrier, and the second largest U.S.-flag carrier operating in international trade. The company provides American-owned, managed, and crewed Ro-Ro shipping and intermodal services committed to the requirements of the Department of Defense, other U.S. government departments and agencies, and commercial customers.
