MAN Diesel & Turbo Makes Executive Board Appointment
Arnd Löttgen takes charge of MAN's newly-formed 'Strategic Business Unit Engines'
The Supervisory Board of MAN Diesel & Turbo SE has appointed Arnd Löttgen to the Executive Board with effect from 1 September 2012.
Arnd Löttgen will be responsible for the newly formed Strategic Business Unit Engines, in which the production of four-stroke engines and the turbocharger business are being brought together.
In his capacity as Chief Manufacturing Officer he will also have a cross-departmental role that covers all the strategic business units and includes responsibility for company-wide production strategy.
“The enlargement of our Executive Board and reorganisation of roles will provide an important foundation for the future success of our company and further growth,” says René Umlauft, CEO of MAN Diesel & Turbo SE.
Arnd Löttgen has been with MAN since 1980, performing various roles in Germany and abroad. Most recently he was entrusted with the management of key projects at MAN Truck & Bus AG, so he has extensive experience in the field of production.
His roles prior to that included heading up the Engine business unit and MAN Truck & Bus AG’s Nuremberg plant. He has already worked for MAN Diesel & Turbo in its Augsburg HQ as head of Business Unit High Speed in 2009/2010.
Arnd Löttgen studied mechanical engineering at the University of Siegen.
