The SUNY Maritime College Department of Continuing Education has released its 2005 schedule for on-line Marine Surveying courses. This series of courses includes subjects such as hull and cargo surveying, container damage, hatch surveys, yacht surveying and a component on the Business of Surveying which includes subjects such as report writing and marine insurance. The series of courses has been approved by the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors (SAMS) as qualifying for continuing education credits.

This on-line program can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection allowing students to work at their own pace from almost anywhere in the world. Each module is estimated to take about nine weeks to complete
