American Detection Technologies, Inc. (AMDETECH) recently announced the acquisition of Makor K-9 LLC's cruise line business. Under the terms of the transaction, AMDETECH immediately takes over Makor K-9's current working canine contracts with Princess Cruise Lines, Crystal Cruises, and Metro Cruise Services, as well as all other current and future contracts. Additionally, Makor K-9 President and Founder Mark Rispoli, who is based in Napa, California, is joining AMDETECH as its new VP, Cruise Services, and will have a seat on the AMDETECH Board of Directors. This is the second acquisition for AMDETECH in the past seven months, having acquired Southern Hills Kennels in New Smyrna Beach, FL. last September.
The orderbook for U.S. dredgers is about $3B, and according to DCA CEO Bill Doyle, the incoming political administration could help this niche maritime sector continue its bull run.
