Roll Group Cuts Steel on Roll Barge One
Roll Group has cut steel for its latest addition, Roll Barge One, in Batam, Indonesia. Scheduled for delivery by ASL Yards in the third quarter of 2024, this marks Roll Group's entry into the barge market with its own assets."This is a new milestone in the history of our company," said Peter Rondhuis, CEO of Roll Group. Roll Group Adds Two Ships
Roll Group will add two vessels from the global logistics company, KMC Line, commencing in the second half of 2025. The vessels will be renamed Bigroll KMC Beaumont and Bigroll KMC Busan, giving the heavy cargo carrier a larger fleet of 10 heavy transport project vessels. KMC Line, founded in 1989 and based in Korea, specializes in steel shipping, bulk carriers, heavy cargo shipping industries, and agency work.
Roll Group to Implement We4Sea Fleet Monitoring Solution
Dutch performance monitoring company We4Sea and mobile satellite communications company Inmarsat have signed an agreement for We4Sea to join a growing group of more than 40 certified providers offering applications via Inmarsat’s digital solutions Fleet Data and Fleet Connect.The announcement coincides with news of a first We4Sea-Inmarsat collaboration to secure fleet-wide uptake for We4Sea’s web-based vessel performance monitoring service.
