Japanese FPSO contractor Modec has won a contract with Woodside for the operations and maintenance of the Sangomar FPSO in Senegal.The deal follows a contract signed in January for Modec to deliver the FPSO for Sangomar field development - Senegal's first offshore development.The operations and maintenance contract will cover all in-country installation and commissioning activities following which an initial 10-year operations and maintenance term will begin.

MODEC FPSO Achieves First off Brazil
MODEC, Inc. announced today that its FPSO Cidade de Itaguai MV26, operating in the Iracema Norte area of Lula field, in the Pre-Salt layer of Santos Basin offshore Brazil, has achieved First Oil production on July 31, 2015, five months ahead of the schedule anticipated under the contract. The FPSO is chartered by Tupi B.V., a subsidiary of Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), under a 20-year lease and operation contract.
