Cheramie Marine OSV Repowered
Louisiana-based Cheramie Marine's offshore support vessel (OSV) Mary Cheramie has been refitted with a pair of new Mitsubishi engines, power solutions provider Laborde Products announced.The vessel's two new Mitsubishi Tier 3 S12R engines, each delivering 1,260 HP at 1,600 RPM, replace the older Caterpillar 3512 engines.According to Laborde Products, the new engines' fully mechanical design simplifies maintenance and operation while enhancing reliability and reducing emissions.

Alabama-based boatbuilder Silver Ships said it has been awarded a contract award worth $6.12 million from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to supply six Riverine Patrol Boats (RPB).The Riverine Patrol Boat is a U. Mitsubishi Turbocharger and Engine America (MTEA) has introduced Mitsubishi’s new mechanical controlled, EPA Tier 4, 1,260-horsepower heavy-duty marine propulsion engine.The Mitsubishi S12R Tier 4 is a 49-liter, V-12, 1,260-horsepower marine propulsion engine operating at 1,600 rpm.
