Benchamas FSO: InterMoor Completes Work
InterMoor has completed work for the installation of the new Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) facility Benchamas 2 (FSO Benchamas 2). Previously, the Benchamas Explorer FSO, owned and operated by Chevron, was installed in 1999 in Block B8/32 in the Gulf of Thailand. The FSO began initial production in 1999 and after operating the facility for almost 20 years, Chevron decided to replace the aging facility with the new FSO Benchamas 2.
InterMoor Appoints Moulin as MD in Brazil
InterMoor, an Acteon company, has appointed Cleiver Moulin as managing director in Brazil. Moulin will be responsible for overseeing InterMoor do Brasil’s business in the region. Moulin joined InterMoor do Brazil in 2010 as a Senior Project Manager and has since played management roles in projects, operations and business areas. Prior to joining InterMoor do Brazil, Moulin worked in engineering, certification and management functions at Bureau Veritas and RBNA.
InterMoor Completes Juniper Mooring Installation Contract
InterMoor has completed a mooring and foundation installation campaign for bpTT’s Juniper gas project offshore Trinidad and Tobago, reportedly the largest foundation installation campaign offshore Trinidad and Tobago to date. InterMoor provided engineering and design services to identify a reliable and cost-effective mooring solution and performed configuration studies as part of the mooring analysis.

InterMoor to Construct Service Base at Açu Superport, Brazil
InterMoor do Brasil Serviços Offshore de Instalaçao Ltda (InterMoor), an Acteon company, was awarded a construction license to build facilities at the new Industrial Complex of Açu Superport located in São João da Barra in northern Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Construction of the Service Base will commence in April 2013. The facility will be built on a 52,300 square-meter plot at the right bank of the terminal’s inland channel (TX2).

First Permanent Mooring Work for InterMoor in China
InterMoor, an Acteon company, has completed its first permanent mooring work in the Lufeng oilfield, South China Sea. This project was also the company’s first for Chinese installation contractor China Offshore Oil Engineering Co. Ltd. The Nanhai Sheng Kai floating, storage and offloading unit (FSOU) has been in service since 1992, surpassing its 12-year original estimated design life. Consequently, its subsea mooring system had begun to deteriorate and corrode.
