Accelleron, Furuno in MoU on "Digital Cooperation"
Accelleron’s Japanese joint venture company Turbo Systems United signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Furuno to cooperate in digital activities. The agreement, the first of its kind for the Accelleron group in Japan, is aimed at improving access to optimization solutions and digitally enabled services.

Belle Chasse, La. shipyard C&C Marine and Repair, LLC said it has delivered Ned Brooks, the fourth in series of 15 towboats for Metairie, La.-based Maritime Partners, LLC.The 2,600-horsepowered, 84- by 34-foot towboat was designed by Entech Design, LLC, based in Kenner, La., with the 3D modeling and production drawings done by C&C Marine and Repair’s in-house engineering department. Furuno has acquired Danish company EMRI A/S, founded in 1972 and specializing in autopilots, steering control, joystick dynamic positioning and maneuvering systems.Based in Herlev, a suburb to Copenhagen, EMRI is a provider of steering control systems, autopilots and track control systems. Their autopilots have been well accepted for almost 2 decades, worldwide, and are today in operation onboard 1000+ vessels.
