Atlantic Towing PSVs Rescue Crew from Sinking Fishing Vessel
Two platform supply vessels (PSV) stationed in eastern Canada came to the rescue of a crew from a sinking fishing vessel off the coast of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, on Monday.Atlantic Towing said its PSVs Atlantic Griffon and Atlantic Shrike picked up a radio transmission from a nearby vessel stating the fishing boat Gypsy Mariner had lost power and was taking on water. Atlantic Towing Orders Ice Class Damen PSVs
Atlantic Towing (USA) has selected newly-designed, ice-strengthened PSV 5000 vessels from Damen Shipyards Group to meet its 10-year offshore support contract with ExxonMobil Canada Properties and Hibernia Management and Development Company Ltd. (HMDC). The vessels will operate in the sub-arctic waters of the Hibernia and Hebron oil fields, off Newfoundland and Labrador. ATL will take delivery of four PSV 5000 vessels, one of which will be equipped for inspection, repair and maintenance duties.
Atlantic Towing and Jaya Seal Second Offshore Deal
Offshore energy services provider Jaya Holdings Ltd. reached an agreement to sell a second new state-of-the-art anchor handling tug supply vessel Jaya Sovereign to Canadian buyers, Atlantic Towing Ltd. The vessel’s delivery is expected by the end of 2013. The Jaya Sovereign is a sister ship of the Jaya Supreme which was delivered to Atlantic Towing in November of last year. Both vessels are among the most sophisticated anchor handlers ever built at a Singapore shipyard.
Atlantic Towing Expands Fleet
St. John’s NL - Atlantic Towing Limited (ATL), a global marine service provider based in Atlantic Canada, has announced the addition of the Atlantic Raven – a 14,400 hp UT 722 Offshore Supply Vessel.
