Brunvoll to Deliver Propulsion System for Toyoâs Hybrid Cable Layer
Brunvoll has signed a contract with Vard for the delivery of propulsion and maneuvering system for Toyo Constructionâs new cable laying vessel.Toyo Constructionâs new vessel will have three azimuth propulsion thrusters in the aft of the vessel. LNG Carrier Loses Power, Unable to Leave Terminal
Shipments of LNG from Australia Pacific LNG have come to a halt after a loaded tanker docked at the site lost power, operator ConocoPhillips and co-owner Origin Energy said on Tuesday.So far two LNG cargoes have been delayed, and Origin warned "it expected that more LNG cargoes will be deferred", as the stricken vessel was blocking other tankers from entering the facility on Curtis Island off Australia's east coast.APLNGâŚ
Baleària's New High-speed Dual-fuel RoPax Eleanor Roosevelt Enters Service
Spanish shipping company Baleària has put into service its newest vessel, Eleanor Roosevelt, said to be the worldâs first very large catamaran Ro-Pax ferry powered by dual-fuel reciprocating engines.Designed by Incat Crowther, the 123-meter-long aluminum vessel was built by Astilleros Armon at its Gijon shipyard in Spain using modular construction techniques. It is classed by Bureau Veritas.The Incat Crowther 123 Dual-Fuel Ro-Pax is powered by a quartet of Wärtsilä 16V31DF main engines.
