Zelenskiy: Ukraine, UK and France discuss Black Sea Security
The Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced that on Tuesday, representatives from the United Kingdom, France, and Turkey will meet in Turkey to discuss Black Sea Security.
Zelenskiy, along with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, said at Odesa: "This is a meeting of military leaders on the security of the Black Sea.
Zelenskiy stated that meetings would be held on Tuesday and/or Wednesday. The exact status of the meetings was not immediately known.
Zelenskiy said that there are already a number of such meetings in different formats.
Rutte stated that "Turkey had already in 2022 successfully agreed on a ceasefire with regard to a larger grain deal... Let's be optimistic about the fact Turkey is trying to again bring together all parties relevant, and let's hope it's successful."
Zelenskiy stated, "We're talking about a presence at sea and we think that Turkey will have a significant role in the future of security guarantees for the ocean."
This is not about the end of the war. It is about the security measures that will be in place after the ceasefire. Reporting by Yuliia Dyesa, Writing by Max Hunder, Editing by Peter Graff & Giles Elgood
