Yemen's Houthis claim to have targeted the 'MSC Sarah V" vessel in Arabian Sea
Yemen's Houthis claimed responsibility for an earlier attack on the MSC Sarah V ship in the Arabian Sea.
On Monday, the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden Joint Maritime Information Center said that the Liberian flagged vessel was fired upon by a missile but not struck. The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations reported that the crew was safe and the vessel was headed to its next port-of-call. It was 246 nautical mile off Yemen's Nishtun at the time of the attack.
Yemen's Iran aligned Houthi Group has launched drones and missiles attacks in shipping lanes in November. They claim to be in solidarity with Palestinians living in Gaza.
In dozens attacks, the Houthis sank two vessels, captured another, and killed at least 3 seafarers.
