Yemen's Houthi TV says 68 bodies were recovered after US strikes on Saada

Al Masirah TV, a Houthi-run channel in Yemen, reported that 68 bodies had been recovered and 47 more were injured after an American strike on Saada struck a centre for African migrants.

Saada, a Houthi stronghold, was also previously targeted by U.S. airstrikes.

According to Yemen's interior ministry, the center housed 115 African migrants.

The U.S. president Donald Trump intensified military operations against Iran-backed Houthi troops, conducting the most deadly strike to date earlier this month at a fuel station on the Red Sea which killed at least 72 people.

Washington has vowed to continue its attack on the Houthis, until they stop attacking Red Sea shipping.

Since November 2023 the Houthis have carried out numerous drone and missile strikes on Red Sea vessels, claiming to be targeting ships that are associated with Israel, in support of Palestinians during the conflict in Gaza.
