US military claims it destroyed Houthi drones and patrol boats

The U.S. Military said Thursday that it had destroyed two Houthi Patrol Boats, one uncrewed Surface vessel and one drone in the Red Sea as part of its latest attempt to weaken the capabilities the Iran-backed group.

Yahya Saree, the military spokesperson for the Iran-aligned Houthis group, said earlier in a Thursday televised address that the Houthis controlled the majority of Yemen's population and had targeted the Verbena, Seaguardian, and Athina, in the Red Sea.

U.S. Central Command reported that a cargo ship ignited a fire, which severely injured a member of its crew.

U.S. Central Command reported that the rebels fired two anti-ship missiles into the Red Sea from an area controlled by the Houthis in Yemen. The missiles did not cause any damage or injury, according to the U.S. Central Command.
