Union Pacific largely restores operations to Texas after storm Beryl
Union Pacific announced on Tuesday that it had mostly resumed its operations in Texas, which were impacted by Hurricane Beryl. However, the company expects some interruptions until commercial power and road access are fully restored.
The railroad operator reported that "all impacted tracks, with the exception Galveston region have been quickly returned to service."

Hurricane Harvey slammed the coastal town of Matagorda, Texas, with dangerous surges and heavy rains before moving on to Houston.
Union Pacific reports that operations have resumed in the state between Angleton, Brownsville and Virginia Point, although water has covered the rails near Virginia Point, Galveston Island and other areas.
The company warned that customers with rail shipments traveling through the affected area should expect some delays.
