Ukraine reports that five people were killed in an attack by Russia on the eastern Donetsk Region
Prosecutors said that Russian airstrikes on Ukraine's frontline Donetsk Region on Thursday killed five civilians, injured three more, and damaged private homes and a residential structure.
The general prosecutor's Office announced on Telegram that a woman and her spouse were killed by artillery in the village of Pleshchiivka.
Three more women were also killed during a raid on a private building in Hrodivka village, the report said.
The prosecutors reported that the Russian military also dropped two guided-bombs in the village of Velyka Nosilka. A man and his spouse were injured inside their home. A second man was injured in an artillery attack in Zalizne.
Russian air and shelling attacks are regularly carried out on the Donetsk Region, which is partially occupied by Russian troops.
Thousands of people were killed or injured by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
