UK maritime authority: Ship near Yemen reports missiles fell into Red Sea nearby
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency (UKMTO), which is responsible for coordinating the UKMTO's maritime trade operations, said that a ship traveling through the Red Sea, 25 nautical miles west from Al-Mukha in Yemen, reported to the UKMTO on Sunday a missile splashing into the water nearby.
The report did not identify the vessel owner or vessel but stated that the vessel crew was safe and the vessel would be proceeding to its next port.
Houthi militants from Yemen, who are allied with Iran, have been attacking commercial ships in the Red Sea since more than a decade in an attempt to enforce a Naval Blockade against Israel. They claim they're acting in solidarity for Palestinians during Israel's war in Gaza.
