European traders reported on Friday that the Turkish state grain board TMO had issued an international tender for the sale and export of approximately 150,000 metric tonnes of animal feed barley.

The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is November 28.

Between Dec. 18, 2020, and Jan. 13, 2030, barley ships should be loaded.

Six consignments totaling 25,000 tons of goods are available for purchase.

In the ports of Iskenderun & Mersin, three shipments per port should be loaded.

This autumn, after a successful harvest, farmers will be protected from low prices.

Some traders believe that Turkey has an ample supply of grain at home and should free up some storage space with the barley tender. (Reporting and editing by Louise Heavens, Michael Hogan)
