Turkey is considering offers for 50,000 T of durum wheat, traders report
The traders reported that the highest price in the tender by Turkey's TMO state grain board to sell and export 50 000 metric tons durum wheat, which closed Thursday, was $315.50 per ton FOB.
Viterra, a trading company, was said to be the one who made the offer of 50,000 tons.
The reports reflect the opinions of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later.
Traders said that authorities are evaluating the offer and will decide whether or not to accept it in the coming days. The offer can still be rejected, and the tender cancelled.
The traders stated that the loading of wheat purchased in the tender must be done between April 24 and 15 May. Michael Hogan reports.
