Tunisia purchases 75,000 T of soft wheat at tender, traders claim

Posted to Maritime Reporter on August 21, 2024

European traders reported that Tunisia's grain agency purchased approximately 75,000 metric tonnes of soft wheat at an international auction on Wednesday.

They said that traders believed that 50,000 tons of coal was purchased from Aston Trading House in two consignments of 25,000 tons each at $242.99 per ton, cost and freight included.

They said that another 25,000 tons were purchased from Promising International for $246.00 per ton C&F.

Although the wheat's origin was not specified, traders believed it came from the Black Sea area. The reports reflect the assessments of traders, and future estimates on prices and volume are possible.

The bid requested that the shipment be made between September 15 and October 20 depending on origin. Michael Hogan reports.
