Posted to Maritime Reporter on April 16, 2025

European traders reported on Wednesday that Tunisia's grain agency issued an international bid to buy an estimated 75,000 tons of soft milling Wheat.

Wheat can come from a variety of origins. They said that the deadline for submitting price offers was Thursday, April 17.

Three 25,000-ton consignments are sought.

Shipping is requested between 20 May and 30 June depending on the origin provided.

The global importer demand for wheat has been weak so far this April. Traders had hoped the recent fall of Euronext Wheat Futures in Paris to lows around one year ago would spur new demand.

Algeria also announced an international tender on Monday to purchase milling wheat with offers due by Wednesday. Michael Hogan, Mrigank Dhaniwala and Michael Hogan are the reporters.
