Trans Mountain Pipeline Interim Tolls Hearing Scheduled for May 2025 by CER
On Tuesday, the Canada Energy Regulator announced that the final oral argument for the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion will begin on May 14, 2025.
Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion (TMX), years behind schedule, and more than fourfold the initial cost.
TMX had to increase tolls in order to recover some of its costs. Shippers dispute the increase in rate.
The CER granted a request in April from shippers for additional cost and expenses information.
The regulator stated that "the Commission has adjusted the timeline suggested by the parties due to an increased volume and complex of documents which must be evaluated during this proceeding."
