Traders say that Jordan is believed to have passed on 120,000 T of wheat.
European traders claim that Jordan's state grain purchaser is not believed to have purchased any milling wheat in the international tender for 120,000 metric tonnes of milling which ended on Tuesday.
In the coming days, traders expect a new wheat tender to be released. The deadline is February 18.
The trading houses that participated in the Tuesday tender are believed to include CHS, Cargill Viterra, Buildcom Cereal Crops, and Al Dahra.
The tender sought a number of combinations between 50,000 and 60,000 tons. The possible shipment combinations include April 16-30. May 1-15. May 16-31. and June 1-15.
Jordan also announced a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons animal feed barley. Price offers are due on Wednesday. Michael Hogan is reporting.
