Traders say that Jordan is believed to have passed on 120,000 T of wheat.
European traders claim that Jordan's state grain purchaser is not believed to have purchased any milling wheat in the international tender for 120,000 metric tonnes of milling which ended on Tuesday.
The prices were considered too high. In the coming days, a new tender will be released that will close on July 30, with the same shipping periods for the entire month of September and the first half of Oct.
They said that Cargill, CHS Viterra, Al Dahra Ameropa, and The Andersons were all believed to have participated in the tender on Tuesday.
Jordan bought 60,000 tons of wheat on 16th July at a cost and freight (c&f) estimated to be $255.00 per ton. Jordan also announced a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons animal feed barley. Price offers are due on Wednesday. Michael Hogan is reporting.
