European traders reported that the importer group TFMA, based in Thailand, purchased between 60,000 and 65,000 metric tonnes of animal feed wheat during a Wednesday tender for up to 195,000 tones.

It was not clear what volume was purchased, but traders said that a consignment had been bought for a Dec. 1-20 shipment. The cost and freight liner was around $268 per ton.

The tender sought to ship three consignments, each of up 65,000 tons in a variety of combinations between December 2024 and January/February 2025.

The origin of the wheat purchased was optional, but it is expected that it will either be from the Black Sea Region, including Ukrainian wheat shipped in Romania, as well as possibly Australia.

The reports reflect the assessments of traders, and it is still possible to estimate volumes and prices later. Michael Hogan is reporting.
