A group of animal feed importers in Thailand purchased approximately 63,000 metric tonnes of animal feed wheat during a Wednesday closing tender that sought up to 120,000 metric tons, European traders reported.

The price was estimated to be around $256 per ton for the cost and freight liner with wheat from South America.

The tender was for consignments to be shipped between February and June 2025. Traders reported that one consignment had been purchased for shipment for the entire month of March.

Cargill is believed to have been the seller.

The reports reflect the assessments of traders. Further estimates on prices and volume are possible in the future. (Reporting and editing by Louise Heavens, Michael Hogan)
