Traders say that a group in Thailand purchased 195,000 T of feed wheat.

European traders reported on Friday that the TFMA group, which includes animal feed importers from Thailand, is believed to be responsible for purchasing around 195,000 metric tonnes of animal feed wheat during a recent tender.

Three consignments were purchased.

A consignment of approximately 67,000 tons, expected to come from the United States or Australia, was purchased at a cost and freight liner out (c&f), estimated to be $258.99 per ton. Trading house ETG is believed to be the vendor. The shipment is expected between May 21 to June 10.

A second consignment of approximately 63,000 tons, expected to come from Australia, was purchased at a price of $259.89 per ton for c&f liner-out with Cargill trading house believed to be the vendor with shipment scheduled in June.

A consignment of approximately 65,000 tons, expected to come from Australia, was purchased at an estimated $258.99 per ton c&f liners out. Trading house ADM is believed to be the vendor with shipment scheduled for July.

The reports reflect the assessments of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later. Michael Hogan is reporting.
