Thailand bids for around 120,000 T of feed wheat, traders claim

Posted to Maritime Reporter on December 4, 2024

European traders reported on Wednesday that a group of Thai importers has issued an international tender for the purchase of approximately 120,000 metric tonnes of animal feed wheat.

Also, the deadline for submitting price offers to the tender is Wednesday, December 4.

Shipping was requested in many different scenarios in 2024, between February and July. Prices were requested for different consignments. However, traders estimated the real buying interest to be between 120,000 and 130,000 tons.

The traders said that they thought the interest in purchasing was between one and two consignments of each 60,000 tons.

The reports reflect the assessments of traders. Further estimates are possible in the future. (Reporting and editing by Louise Heavens, Michael Hogan)
