European traders reported on Friday that the Taiwan Flour Millers' Association had issued a tender for an estimated 105.650 metric tons grade 1 milling grain to be purchased from the United States.

The deadline to submit price bids in the tender is August 1.

The tender is seeking a variety of wheat types in two consignments to be shipped from the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast in two consignments.

They said that a consignment of 53.175 tons was needed for shipment between September 30 and October 14. They also said that a second consignment, 52,475 tonnes, was wanted for shipment between October 18 and November 1.

The types of wheat sought are dark northern spring, hard-red winter and soft-white wheat. Michael Hogan reports.
