Taiwan bids on 104,150 t of wheat estimated to be US origin
European traders reported on Friday that the Taiwan Flour Millers' Association had issued an international tender for an estimated 104.150 metric tons grade 1 milling grain to be purchased from the United States.
Also, the deadline for submitting price offers is Friday, 21st June.
The bidder is looking for two consignments of wheat from the Pacific Northwest Coast in the United States.
They said that a shipment of 54,225 tonnes was needed between August 25 and September 8.
The second consignment, 49.925 tons, is to be shipped between September 12 and 26.
The types of wheat sought are dark northern spring, red winter, and soft white.
The Association's tenders provide a good indication of the U.S. export price for wheat to Asian markets. The association's tenders provide an accurate snapshot of U.S. wheat export prices in Asian markets.
