Major Feedmill Group, a South Korean company, purchased approximately 65,000 metric tonnes of animal feed wheat from the United States on Wednesday in a deal that was not subject to an international tender.

A consignment of a shipment was purchased for an estimated $261.74 per ton c&f, plus $1.25 per tonne extra port unloading charge.

The shipment was believed to be sold by CJ International and scheduled for arrival in South Korea on or around March 15, 2025. The shipment from the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast was between February 1 and 28.

The same price was paid by Korean importer NOFI in a Wednesday international tender. The reports reflect the assessments of traders, and future estimates on prices and volume are possible. Michael Hogan is reporting.
