South Korea's FLC purchases about 66,000 T of corn, traders claim
In a Wednesday deal, the Feed Leaders Committee of South Korea (FLC), a group that represents feed producers in South Korea, purchased approximately 66,000 metric tonnes of corn from South America and South Africa.
They said that the corn was bought at a cost of $242.99 per ton, including freight.
The seller was reported to be ADM Trading House.
The reports reflect the opinions of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later.
Shipping was scheduled for August 17-Sept. 15, if coming from South America, or for August 27-Sept. 25, if coming from South Africa. It was a little later than originally requested.
Only 55,000 tonnes of South African sourced sand is required.
After the Chicago Board of Trade, traders said Asian buyers showed increased interest.
