South Korea's FLC purchases 60,000 metric tonnes of soymeal from traders

Posted to Maritime Reporter on October 10, 2024

Feed Leaders Committee, a South Korean import group, purchased up to 60 000 metric tons soymeal on Thursday. The soymeal could have been sourced in South America or the United States and China.

They said that the FLC purchased from Cofco at a price of $398.50 per metric ton, c&f. This includes a surcharge to cover additional port unloading.

Soymeal will be shipped from South America in the period between February 10 and March 10, 2020. Only 45,000 tons are required if the soymeal is sourced from Argentina.

If you choose to buy from China, you only need 40,000 tonnes and 50,000 tons if you purchase from the United States.

The reports reflect the assessments of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later. Michael Hogan is reporting.
