South Korea's FLC purchased about 65,000 T of feed wheat, traders claim
The Feed Leaders Committee of South Korea (FLC) purchased approximately 65,000 metric tonnes of animal feed wheat late Thursday in a private transaction without issuing a tender to the international market, European traders reported.
Wheat was estimated to have cost $264.80 per ton, c&f. Plus a $1.50 surcharge per ton for port unloading. Trading house Pan Ocean was thought to be the seller.
The wheat can come from anywhere in the world. Wheat from the Black Sea may not be shipped to Russian or Ukrainian ports.
Arrival in South Korea was scheduled for around October 25. If the source is from the Pacific Northwest Coast of the United States, then shipment will be between September 11 and October 10.
Major Feedmill Group of South Korea (MFG) purchased approximately 68,000 tons in a Thursday international tender. Michael Hogan reports.
