PAP estimates that Poland's support for offshore wind is 144 billion euros.
According to a draft resolution of the climate ministry, the cost of supporting Poland’s plans for building 17.9 gigawatts of offshore wind power will be approximately 144.2 billion euro ($152 billion).
The Climate Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Poland will raise its price for wind energy from new Baltic Sea Projects next year, after investors complained that the initial price was not high enough to meet government goals.
The distance from the shoreline will also affect the price.
Investors, such as PGE, Orlen Equinor, and Orsted, are developing 5,9 GW offshore capacity along Poland's coast by 2030.
The second phase of 12 GW auctions is expected to begin in 2025.
